Sweat Lodge
SWEAT LODGE
at the Muckleshoot Indian Grounds
Sign up in the Student Life Office.
The Sweat Lodge is a ceremonial,
purification sauna.
Within the Native American culture,
this is a purifying ritual that uses
intense heat to stimulate vision
and insight; a place for spiritual refuge,
and for mental and physical healing.
Sweats may be used to give thanks,
to cleanse, to heal, or to celebrate, or to mourn.
- Bring a potluck dish to share with the group and water to drink.
- Participants should be in good health and with no known heat tolerance issues.
